  • The raised fin design is modelled on the performance factory valve covers of the 1960s and make an excellent choice for restorations, hot rods and custom cars
  • These are tall covers and will clear stud girdles and roller rockers

  • Engine Application: Designed for Big Block Chevrolet engines including the 396, 427, 454 and 502, covering Mark IV through Gen V and Gen VI castings. Suits everything from period-correct muscle car restorations (Chevelle, Camaro, Impala, Corvette) through to street-strip and resto-mod BBC builds.

  • Bolt Pattern Note: BBC valve covers come in long bolt and short bolt styles, and the two are not interchangeable. Confirm the bolt style required for your build before ordering.

  • Construction and Look: Cast aluminium with raised fins inspired by the factory high-performance covers of the 1960s, giving the engine bay a genuine period-correct stance rather than a modern fabricated look. The mass of the casting also helps dampen valvetrain noise compared to thinner stamped steel covers.

  • Tall Profile Clearance: The tall design provides extra room for a high-lift camshaft, roller rockers, shaft mount rockers and stud girdles commonly used in performance BBC builds. If you are running a high-lift camshaft setup, the standard-height covers often foul, which is where this profile earns its place.

  • Polished Finish Suits: Best suited to chrome-themed engine bays, classic muscle restorations and show builds where a bright dress-up package is the goal. Pairs naturally with a polished air cleaner, chrome alternator brackets and a matching polished breather setup.

  • Included Hardware: Comes complete with internal baffles, self-tapping screws, two grommets for breathers, and the valve cover retaining bolts and washers. A push-in breather and PCV valve are typically sourced separately to suit your ventilation setup.

  • What to Pair With It: Match with a polished aluminium air cleaner, polished breather caps and a matching polished or chrome timing cover for a cohesive dress-up package. A set of fresh BBC valve cover gaskets is worth ordering at the same time, as old gaskets rarely seal properly when reused.

  • Practical Buyer Tip: The tall profile clears most performance valvetrain components, but if you are running an exceptionally tall stud girdle or shaft mount rocker setup, measure your tallest point before committing. Also worth checking firewall and brake booster clearance on tighter engine bays like early Camaros and Novas.
