  • Application: This 12 inch Cal Custom dual pass cooler suits transmission fluid, engine oil, power steering or gear lube cooling where space is tight but stronger heat rejection than a single pass unit is still needed, common on shorter wheelbase hot rods and compact engine bays.

  • Size/Spec Context: The dual pass design routes fluid through the core twice, giving better heat transfer per inch of length than the equivalent 12 inch single pass model in the range. This makes it a good option where mounting length is limited but cooling performance still matters.

  • Construction Note: Built from thick, high quality aluminium with external and internal heat dissipating fins to resist warping or twisting under sustained heat cycling. Fittings are 1/4 inch NPT.

  • Fitment Note: Suits transmission, engine oil, power steering and gear lube applications. Confirm your existing line size and fitting thread before ordering, as 1/4 inch NPT fittings will need matching adaptors if your lines use a different thread standard.

  • What to Pair With: Commonly paired with transmission cooler lines, NPT to hose barb adaptors and mounting brackets to complete the install.

  • Practical Buyer Tip: If your mounting space is limited to around 12 inches but you need more cooling than a single pass unit of the same length, this dual pass version is the stronger option, just confirm your pump can handle the added back pressure.
