Engine Application: Designed for GM Gen.4 LS engines fitted with Displacement on Demand, including LS2, LS3, L76, L77, L98, L99 and similar Gen.4 variants. Used during a DOD or AFM delete, where the cylinder deactivation system is being removed for reliability, simplicity or supporting a camshaft swap.

Why a DOD Delete Cover Is Needed: Factory Gen.4 valley covers feed oil to the lifter deactivation solenoids through ports in the valley. When DOD is deleted (typically with a non-AFM camshaft and standard lifters), those oil ports must be sealed to prevent oil pressure loss and erratic running. This cover blocks them off cleanly in one part.

O-Ring Sealed DOD Ports: The cover features built-in o-rings that seal the DOD oil galleries from underneath. This removes the common workaround of drilling, tapping and plugging the factory cover, which is messy, time consuming and prone to leaks if not done carefully. The result is a cleaner, more reliable DOD delete.

Included Oil Pressure Sensor Adaptor: Comes with a billet aluminium oil pressure sensor adaptor and two longer bolts to relocate the factory sensor to the new cover. The adaptor is pre-threaded for the factory sensor, but the cover itself needs to be drilled to suit. Worth doing this before the cover is installed on the engine.

Black Anodised Finish:The black finish suits stealth-themed LS builds, blacked-out engine bays and modern resto-mod looks. Sits low and tidy in the valley under the intake manifold, replacing the factory Gen.4 valley plate with a cleaner-looking sealed alternative.
- Practical Buyer Tip: This is a delete cover, not a valve cover, and only suits engines where the DOD system is being removed. Pair it with a non-AFM camshaft, standard (non-deactivating) lifters and a tune that disables DOD in the ECU, otherwise the engine will not run correctly. Confirm your engine is a Gen.4 with DOD before ordering, as Gen.3 LS engines (LS1, LS6) use a different valley cover design.
