  • Engine Application: Built for the 11-bolt Gen.4 LS valley pattern, fitting GM LS2, LS3, LS7 and LSX engines. Does not fit LS1 or LS6, which use a 10-bolt pattern with a rear-mounted oil pressure sensor. The engine generation must be confirmed before ordering, as the bolt patterns are not interchangeable.

  • Why Choose a Black Valley Cover: When the factory plastic intake manifold is removed for a carby conversion or single-plane intake swap, the factory valley plate sitting across the centre of the engine looks plain and unfinished. A black finned cover fits over the top of the factory valley plate, keeping the look stealthy and modern instead of drawing attention with chrome or polished surfaces.

  • Black Finned Aesthetic: The fins echo old-school small block valley covers, but the black finish keeps the engine bay feeling current rather than retro. Pairs particularly well with black valve covers, black or wrinkle-finish intake manifolds, blacked-out accessory brackets and powder-coated bolt-on parts. A strong choice for blacked-out engine bays, modern muscle builds and street machines where polished finishes feel out of place.

  • 11-Bolt Mounting Pattern: Bolts directly to the factory Gen.4 LS valley using the existing threaded holes, with no drilling, tapping or fabrication needed. The 11-bolt layout is unique to LS2, LS3, LS7 and LSX engines, which is why this cover does not interchange with earlier LS1 or LS6 engines that use a different mounting pattern.

  • Hardware Note: Includes 10 bolts in the kit. The factory rear centre bolt needs to be reused, so set it aside in a labelled bag during disassembly rather than discarding it with the old gasket. Worth checking thread depth and condition on all valley bolts before reinstalling.

  • Practical Buyer Tip: The black finish is more forgiving of fingerprints and oil mist than polished, but avoid harsh degreasers as they can dull the surface over time. A microfibre cloth and mild engine bay cleaner is enough for regular cleaning. Only fit a decorative valley cover if the valley will actually be visible after the build is complete, such as carby conversions or single-plane intake setups. If the engine retains the factory plastic intake, the cover sits hidden underneath and the spend is better directed elsewhere.

Note: this valley cover only suits the above mentioned engines; LS1 & LS6 have a 10 bolt mounting pattern as well as a rear mounted oil pressure sensor.
