• Engine Application: Built for the Small Block Ford Windsor 289 and 302 engine family with long bolt cylinder heads. Suits earlier classic Mustangs, Falcons, Cobras and Australian Windsor builds where the project calls for a clean fabricated look in a stealthier black finish rather than the finned cast aluminium style.

• Windsor vs Cleveland is Critical: Ford 302 Windsor and 302C / 351C Cleveland are completely different engine families with different cylinder heads and different valve covers. They are not interchangeable. Windsor covers are narrower with bolts closer in, while Cleveland covers are wider with bolts further out and a more rectangular footprint. Confirm you have Windsor heads (not Cleveland) before ordering.

• Bolt Style Fitment: Small Block Ford Windsor valve covers come in long bolt and short bolt styles, and the two are not interchangeable. This set is long bolt style. Easiest check is to measure the bolts on your existing covers before ordering.

• Fabricated vs Cast Construction: Fabricated covers are welded from sheet aluminium, giving a smooth flat top with clean welded seams instead of the finned cast look. Lighter than cast aluminium and the modern aesthetic suits Pro-Touring, Pro-Street and resto-mod Windsor builds rather than period-correct restorations where finned cast covers would feel more appropriate.

• 90mm Tall Profile: At 90mm overall, the tall design clears a high-lift camshaft, roller rockers, shaft mount rockers and stud girdles commonly used in performance Windsor builds. Worth measuring your tallest valvetrain component before committing if you are running an extreme high-lift camshaft setup.

• Black Fabricated Aesthetic: The black finish suits blacked-out engine bays, sleeper builds and modern street machines where polished or chrome would feel out of place. Pairs well with black accessory brackets, black breather caps, black or wrinkle intake manifolds and black valve cover bolts for a cohesive blacked-out package.

• Welded-In Baffles and Pre-Cut Breather Holes: Welded-in baffles control oil splash off the rocker arms and stop oil being pulled into the PCV system, which causes the smoking and oil consumption common with un-baffled covers. Breather holes are pre-cut, ready for push-in breathers or PCV grommets without needing to drill or modify the covers.

• Practical Buyer Tip: Comes with the retaining bolts. Windsor-specific valve cover gaskets, push-in breathers, grommets and PCV valves are sourced separately, so plan to add these to the order. Fresh Windsor long bolt gaskets are cheap insurance against leaks. Black-finished fabricated covers benefit from gentle care to keep the finish looking sharp. Use a soft microfibre cloth and mild engine bay cleaner, and skip harsh degreasers, abrasive pads or wire brushes that can scratch through the finish and expose bare aluminium underneath.
