Available (1) Black or (2) Blue:

  • Application: The 3½" (89mm) 90 degree elbow is used in turbo intake plumbing, intercooler piping and cold air induction systems where the pipework needs to turn a full 90 degrees in a tight space. 89mm is a common middle-ground size used on turbo LS swaps, modified V6 builds and high-flow naturally aspirated setups where 3" is too restrictive but 4" is unnecessary.

  • Why 90 Degree Over Two 45s: A single 90 elbow is shorter and saves a clamp joint compared to running two 45s in series. It is the right choice when engine bay space is tight and the routing simply needs to turn the corner without flow being a primary concern, such as on cold air intake routing or low-boost charge pipe runs.

  • Confirmed Specs: 5mm wall thickness with 4-ply reinforcement. Rated 43 to 130 PSI working pressure with a 275 PSI burst rating. Temperature range of -60°C to 260°C. UV, water and ozone resistant. These specs give solid safety margin under sustained boost.

  • Leg Length Context: With 125mm of straight section on each leg, this elbow gives ample clamping surface on both sides. If your routing needs longer reach on either side, an 89mm straight hose can be joined inline with a coupler.

  • What to Pair With It: Clamps suited to around 99mm O.D. are required, as the outside diameter of 89mm I.D. silicone hose is roughly 10mm larger than the inside diameter. T-bolt clamps are recommended on the boosted side of a turbo system. Worm drive clamps can work on low-pressure intake sections but T-bolts give more even clamping pressure on mid-large silicone, especially through repeated boost cycles.

  • Practical Buyer Tip: A 90 elbow restricts airflow more than two 45s. On high-boost or high-horsepower builds where every bit of flow matters, plan the pipe routing to use 45 degree bends where possible. Save the 90 for tight spots where geometry leaves no other choice.
