• Application: The 4" (101mm) straight silicone hose is one of the larger sizes in the range, suited to big bore turbo intake plumbing, large displacement V8 cold air induction systems and high-flow intercooler piping on serious performance builds. 4" piping is common on high-horsepower turbo LS and big block setups where airflow volume is the priority.

• Cut To Length Advantage: At 1 metre long, this hose gives plenty of material to cut down to the exact length your build needs. Buying a longer hose and trimming to size is usually more practical than ordering multiple short couplers, especially on custom intake routing where standard lengths rarely fit perfectly.

• Construction: Multi-ply silicone with internal reinforcement maintains shape and resists collapse under vacuum on the intake side, and holds up to pressure on boosted charge pipe runs. Wall thickness on 4" hose is critical because larger diameters are more prone to flex under load.

• What to Pair With It: Clamps suited to around 111mm O.D. are required, as the outside diameter of 101mm I.D. silicone hose is roughly 10mm larger than the inside diameter. T-bolt clamps are strongly recommended at this diameter. Worm drive clamps often struggle to apply even pressure around a 4" hose and can leak under boost. A 101mm joiner is also useful if you need to connect two sections in a longer run.

• Practical Buyer Tip: 4" hose needs solid support along its length, especially on horizontal runs. Unsupported 101mm silicone can sag or flex under engine vibration and boost cycling, which loosens clamps over time. Plan a mounting bracket or pipe support if your run is longer than around 300mm between fixed points.
