Available (1) Black or (2) Blue:

  • Application: The 70mm to 60mm straight reducer steps pipework down from 2¾" to 2-3/8" in a single in-line piece without any directional change. This is one of the smallest, gentlest reductions in the range, suiting 4 cylinder turbo builds, factory-style cold air intakes on smaller engines, and intercooler piping where pipe diameters need a minor adjustment to match a specific throttle body or MAF housing.

  • Why Straight Over Reducing Elbow: A straight reducer is the right choice when pipework is already aligned and only the diameter needs to change. It is shorter than a reducing elbow and gives a cleaner install when no bend is required, which is useful on smaller displacement builds where engine bay space is often tight.

  • Confirmed Specs: 5mm wall thickness with 4-ply reinforcement. Rated 43 to 130 PSI working pressure with a 275 PSI burst rating. Temperature range of -60°C to 260°C. UV, water and ozone resistant. The ratings are well above what a 2¾" application is likely to see, giving generous safety margin.

  • Why This Size Step Matters: 2¾" to 2-3/8" is a small 10mm step-down, the gentlest transition in this part of the range. This is the right choice when you need to fine-tune pipework sizing without introducing meaningful flow restriction, such as adapting between a 70mm intercooler outlet and a 60mm throttle body or MAF inlet on a stock-style intake setup.

  • What to Pair With It: You will need a clamp suited to around 80mm O.D. for the 2¾" end and around 70mm O.D. for the 2-3/8" end, as the outside diameter of Takashi silicone hose is roughly 10mm larger than the inside diameter. Worm drive clamps are usually adequate at these smaller diameters on intake side applications. T-bolts are recommended on boosted setups where consistent sealing pressure is critical under repeated boost cycles.

  • Practical Buyer Tip: 60mm (2-3/8") is a less common pipe size, often found on specific factory throttle bodies and OEM-style MAF housings rather than aftermarket intercooler kits. Confirm your downstream pipework is true 60mm O.D. before ordering. If your throttle body is actually 63mm, the 76 to 63mm or 70 to 63mm reducer will be the correct choice instead.
