76mm to 51mm I.D. – 76mm Long
Premium Quality – Super Low Prices

Available (1) Black or (2) Blue:

  • Application: The 76mm to 51mm straight reducer steps pipework down from 3" to 2" in a single in-line piece without any directional change. Common uses include connecting a 3" cold air intake pipe to a 2" MAF housing or throttle body inlet, adapting between mismatched intercooler and engine inlet sizing, and transitioning to factory style 2" plumbing on smaller displacement turbo and naturally aspirated builds.

  • Why Straight Over Reducing Elbow: A straight reducer is the right choice when your pipework is already aligned and only the diameter needs to change. It is shorter than a reducing elbow and gives a cleaner install when no bend is required, which is ideal when the intake pipe runs in a straight line through the engine bay.

  • Confirmed Specs: 5mm wall thickness with 4-ply reinforcement. Rated 43 to 130 PSI working pressure with a 275 PSI burst rating. Temperature range of -60°C to 260°C. UV, water and ozone resistant. The ratings are well above what a 2" inlet application is likely to see in service, giving generous safety margin.

  • Aggressive Step Down Note: 3" to 2" is a larger size jump than most reducers in the range, stepping down 25mm of diameter across a short section. This works fine on intake or low-pressure applications but creates more flow disturbance than a smaller step like 3" to 2½". On high-boost charge pipe runs, consider whether two smaller reductions in series may suit better.

  • What to Pair With It: You will need a clamp suited to around 86mm O.D. for the 3" end and around 61mm O.D. for the 2" end, as the outside diameter of Takashi silicone hose is roughly 10mm larger than the inside diameter. Worm drive clamps are usually adequate at the smaller 2" end on intake side applications. T-bolt clamps are recommended on the 3" end and on boosted applications where consistent sealing pressure is critical.

  • Practical Buyer Tip: Install with the larger 3" end facing the airflow source and the smaller 2" end facing downstream toward the throttle body or MAF housing. Reversing the direction is possible but the step-up creates a turbulent zone that can affect MAF readings on tuned vehicles, so check sensor placement before installing in reverse.
