• Application: The 70mm (2.75 inch) 45 degree standard elbow suits turbo charge pipe routing, intercooler inlet and outlet connections, and cold air intake systems on performance four-cylinder and six-cylinder builds where the pipe needs a 45 degree direction change at 70mm without any reduction in diameter.

• Size Context: At 70mm I.D., this elbow bridges the gap between the common 63mm and 76mm sizes. It is used on builds where the charge pipe system runs at 70mm throughout and a 45 degree turn is needed at a specific routing point. If your existing pipe or intercooler connection measures 70mm OD, this is the correct elbow rather than forcing a 63mm or 76mm fitting onto a pipe it was not designed for.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Handles the sustained heat and boost pressure of turbo and intercooler applications without cracking, hardening or collapsing under load.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement throughout. Black exterior with no logo for a clean engine bay finish. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: Both ends of this elbow connect to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 70mm. The 70mm size is sometimes overlooked in favour of the more common 63mm and 76mm sizes. Always measure your actual pipe OD before ordering rather than estimating or rounding to the nearest common size.

• What to Pair With It: Use with a 70mm T-bolt clamp at each end. Select a clamp rated for 70mm to 80mm diameter to ensure adequate clamping force across the full circumference of the hose at this size.

• Practical Buyer Tip: The 45 degree angle makes this elbow well suited to tight engine bays where a 90 degree elbow would foul other components. If your pipe run needs a sharper 90 degree turn at 70mm, Takashi also offers a 90 degree standard elbow in 70mm to suit the same pipe size. Having both angles available in the same size means you can plan the full routing of your pipe system without compromising on diameter at any point.
