Common on modified six-cylinder and V8 turbo builds running 83mm charge piping.

• Size Context: At 83mm I.D., this elbow sits between the common 76mm and 89mm sizes. It is used on builds where 3 inch piping is slightly undersized and 3.5 inch is too large, or where an existing custom pipe run is built to 83mm and needs a matching elbow to complete the routing.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Handles the sustained heat and boost pressure of performance turbo intercooler systems without deforming or cracking under load.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement. The black exterior has no logo for a clean finish. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction across the range and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: This elbow connects to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 83mm at both ends. Because 83mm is not as common as 76mm or 89mm, confirm your pipe OD carefully before ordering. This is a same-diameter elbow, so both ends must match the same pipe size.

• What to Pair With It: Use with an 83mm T-bolt clamp at each end. Match the clamp to the pipe OD, not the hose internal diameter, to ensure a proper seal.

• Practical Buyer Tip: A standard elbow changes direction only. If your pipe run also needs a size change at the same point, look at the Takashi reducing elbow range instead. If direction change only is what you need and your pipe is 83mm throughout, this is the correct elbow to use.
