• Application: The 101mm (4 inch) 45 degree standard elbow suits large turbocharger compressor outlet routing, big bore intercooler piping, and high-flow cold air intake systems on heavily modified V8 and six-cylinder performance builds where the charge pipe needs a 45 degree direction change without any reduction in diameter.

• Size Context: At 101mm I.D., this is one of the largest standard elbows in the Takashi range. It is used on builds running large frame turbos where maintaining a full 4 inch pipe diameter through the entire charge pipe run is important for airflow. Stepping down to a smaller elbow at this point would create a restriction that limits the performance of the turbo system.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Built to handle the sustained heat output and boost pressure demands of high-output turbo builds without deforming or cracking under load.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement throughout. Black exterior with no logo for a clean engine bay appearance. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: Both ends of this elbow connect to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 101mm. At this diameter, pipe OD can vary between fabricators and intercooler brands. Measure your actual pipe OD before ordering rather than relying on nominal sizing alone.

• What to Pair With It: Use with a 101mm T-bolt clamp at each end. At 101mm diameter, T-bolt clamps are the only recommended option. Worm-drive clamps cannot provide consistent clamping force at this size and should not be used on boost pressure connections.

• Practical Buyer Tip: If your charge pipe run needs both a 45 degree direction change and a diameter reduction at the same point, the Takashi 45 degree reducing elbow range in 101mm inlet sizes is a better choice than combining this standard elbow with a separate reducer. Fewer join points means fewer potential boost leak locations.
