• Application: This 90 degree reducing elbow suits intercooler piping and turbo charge pipe systems where the pipe needs to turn a full 90 degrees and step down from 76mm to 70mm in a single connection. Common on performance builds where the turbo outlet or intercooler piping changes direction sharply and the downstream pipe is slightly smaller in diameter.

• Size Context: The 76mm to 70mm reduction is a small step down of 6mm. This makes it useful on builds where the pipe sizing is close but not identical at the connection point, such as when a 3 inch intercooler outlet meets a 70mm charge pipe run. Using this elbow avoids the need for a separate reducer and a separate 90 degree bend in the same location.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Suitable for sustained turbo and intercooler use in high-heat underbonnet environments where standard rubber hoses deteriorate over time.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement. Black exterior with no logo for a clean engine bay finish. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: The inlet end connects to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 76mm and the outlet end connects to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 70mm. Because the size difference between the two ends is small, confirm both pipe OD measurements before ordering to ensure you need this reducing elbow and not the same-diameter 90 degree elbow in either 76mm or 70mm.

• What to Pair With It: Use with a 76mm T-bolt clamp on the inlet end and a 70mm T-bolt clamp on the outlet end. T-bolt clamps are recommended for all 90 degree elbow connections under boost pressure.

• Practical Buyer Tip: The 90 degree angle makes this elbow particularly useful in tight engine bays where a straight pipe or a 45 degree bend cannot complete the routing without fouling other components.
