• Application: The 114mm (4.5 inch) 90 degree standard elbow suits large turbocharger compressor outlet routing, big bore intercooler piping, and high-flow cold air intake systems on heavily modified high-output engines where the charge pipe needs to make a sharp 90 degree direction change while maintaining a full 4.5 inch diameter throughout.

• Size Context: At 114mm I.D., this elbow sits between the more common 101mm and the larger 127mm sizes. It is used on builds where the entire charge pipe run is 114mm and a same-diameter 90 degree turn is required. Stepping down to a 101mm elbow at this point would create a restriction in an otherwise unrestricted system.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Built to handle the sustained heat and boost pressure demands of high-output turbo builds without deforming, cracking or collapsing under load.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement throughout. Black exterior with no logo for a clean, understated finish in custom engine bays. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: Both ends of this elbow connect to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 114mm. At this diameter, pipe OD can vary between fabricators, intercooler brands and turbo manufacturers. Measure both connection points on your actual piping before ordering rather than relying on nominal sizing alone.

• What to Pair With It: Use with a 114mm T-bolt clamp at each end. At this diameter, T-bolt clamps are essential for maintaining consistent clamping force under boost pressure. Worm-drive clamps are not suitable for connections at this size.

• Practical Buyer Tip: The 90 degree angle at 114mm creates a large physical footprint due to the wide bend radius at this diameter. Before ordering, check that there is sufficient clearance in your engine bay for the elbow to sit correctly without contacting other components. If clearance is tight, two 45 degree elbows in 114mm may be a better solution to achieve the same direction change with more routing flexibility.
