• Application: The 127mm (5 inch) 90 degree standard elbow suits extreme performance turbo builds where a full 5 inch charge pipe run needs to make a sharp 90 degree direction change without any reduction in diameter. Used in custom fabricated intercooler systems, large turbo compressor outlet routing, and big bore cold air intake builds where maintaining maximum airflow through the entire system is critical.

• Size Context: At 127mm I.D., this is the largest 90 degree standard elbow in the Takashi range. It is a specialist fitting used on purpose-built high-output builds. If your charge pipe run is 5 inch throughout and needs a 90 degree turn, this is the correct elbow. Using a smaller elbow at this point would create an immediate restriction in an otherwise unrestricted system.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Built to handle the extreme heat and sustained boost pressure demands of high-output turbo systems without deforming, cracking or collapsing under load.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement throughout. Black exterior with no logo for a clean finish in custom engine bays. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: Both ends of this elbow connect to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 127mm. At this diameter, pipe OD can vary between turbo manufacturers, intercooler brands and custom fabricators. Always measure your actual pipe OD at both connection points before ordering. Do not rely on kit or turbo specification sheets alone.

• What to Pair With It: Use with a 127mm T-bolt clamp at each end. At this diameter, T-bolt clamps are the only suitable option. Worm-drive clamps cannot maintain consistent clamping force at 127mm and must not be used on boost pressure connections at this size.

• Practical Buyer Tip: A 90 degree elbow at 127mm takes up more physical space than smaller sizes due to the larger bend radius. Before ordering, check that there is enough clearance in your engine bay for the elbow to sit without fouling other components. If space is limited, a 45 degree elbow may be a better option to achieve the direction change across two fittings with a smaller footprint per piece.
