• Application: The 101mm (4 inch) internal diameter is a large format hose suited to big turbocharger compressor outlets, large intercooler inlet and outlet connections, and high-flow cold air intake systems on heavily modified V8 and six-cylinder performance builds where maximum airflow is critical.

• Size Context: At 101mm I.D., this is one of the largest straight silicone hoses in the Takashi range. It is typically used on builds running large frame turbos such as GT45 or similar units, or on naturally aspirated engines with large diameter intake systems where restricting airflow at the intake point would hurt performance.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Capable of handling the heat output and boost pressure demands of high-output turbo builds without deforming, cracking or collapsing under load.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement throughout. The black exterior has no logo for a clean, factory-style finish in the engine bay. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: This hose connects to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 101mm. At this diameter, small variations in pipe OD between brands and fabricators are more common. Measure your actual pipe OD carefully before ordering rather than relying on nominal sizing alone.

• Length and Cut Flexibility: At 1 metre long, this hose provides enough length to cut to suit your specific pipe run. On large engine builds with custom intake or intercooler routing, having the full metre available gives flexibility for a clean, custom fit without needing to join sections.

• What to Pair With It: Use with a 101mm T-bolt clamp at each end. At this diameter, T-bolt clamps are essential. Worm-drive clamps are not recommended for 101mm connections as they cannot provide consistent clamping force across the full circumference at this size.

• Practical Buyer Tip: The 101mm straight hose is often used as a short section to connect a large turbo compressor outlet to the first bend in the charge pipe run. If you also need a directional change at this diameter, Takashi also offer 45 degree and 90 degree elbows in 101mm to suit.
