• Application: The 114mm (4.5 inch) internal diameter is a specialist size suited to very large turbocharger compressor outlets, big bore cold air intake systems, and high-flow intercooler connections on heavily modified high-output engines where a standard 4 inch pipe would create a restriction.

• Size Context: At 114mm I.D., this is one of the largest straight silicone hoses in the Takashi range, stepping up from the 101mm (4 inch) size. It is typically used on extreme performance builds running very large frame turbos, or on large displacement naturally aspirated engines with oversized intake systems where airflow volume is the priority.

• Temperature and Pressure Rating: Rated from -48 degrees C to 260 degrees C with a working pressure of 275 PSI. Capable of handling the heat output and boost pressure demands of high-output turbo builds without deforming, cracking or collapsing under sustained load.

• Construction Note: 5mm wall thickness with multi-ply silicone reinforcement throughout. Black exterior with no logo for a clean, understated engine bay finish. The blue interior liner is standard Takashi construction across the range and is not a defect.

• Fitment Note: This hose connects to pipes with an outside diameter of approximately 114mm. At this diameter, pipe OD can vary significantly between fabricators, intercooler brands and turbo manufacturers. Measure your actual pipe OD carefully before ordering. Do not rely on nominal sizing alone at this scale.

• Length and Cut Flexibility: At 1 metre long, there is enough length to cut to suit your specific pipe run. On large engine builds with custom intake or intercooler routing, having the full metre available gives flexibility without needing to join multiple sections.

• What to Pair With It: Use with a 114mm T-bolt clamp at each end. At this diameter, T-bolt clamps are essential. Worm-drive clamps cannot provide consistent clamping force at 114mm and are not suitable for boost pressure connections at this size.

• Practical Buyer Tip: The 114mm size is uncommon in standard aftermarket kits and is most often used in custom fabricated systems. If you are unsure whether your setup requires 114mm or 101mm, measure the pipe OD at the actual connection point rather than referencing the turbo or intercooler specification sheet, as stated sizing and actual pipe OD do not always match.
